ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, a city flowing in the arts and community engagement. Naturally as the daughter of a writer and poet, I was surrounded by both. From playing with coding to construct my own webpages, to illustrating book covers for my middle schools gifted-program’s book publishing projects, I was always a creative child with a heart for exploration.

After my first internship my summer of 11th grade working for the Urban League of Philadelphia, I had a chance to support the Marketing & Communications Manager, putting together invitations for an upcoming gala. I became interested in that moment in pursuing a career as a designer. From there I enrolled into my high school's Graphic Design and Web Design courses and fell in love.

I always put myself into atmospheres that fit my creative nature. I studied at Syracuse University as a Communications Design student, while serving the communities various programs like Say Yes to Education. As well as the Syracuse Neighborhood Model Facility’s Southwest Community Center, where I mentored students running my own poetry courses and helped them to integrate their creative writing skills through an advertisement campaign for alcohol awareness. Even today running my own creative business ministries, I still can be seen serving the people I feel led to love.

I find design an engaging tool to build towards the betterment of society. Therefore, I aim to be a conscientious contributor to socio-economic change by remaining integrative in my work contribution. When I am not doing design, I like to be found putting together creative events, doing spoken word poetry, songwriting, and working with students with special needs.
